Who we are

Bench Digital is a web development business founded by Mathew Steenwinkel, based in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through benchdigital.ca and how we handle it, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you send our contact form, we receive the information you choose to share: your name, your email address, which plan you are interested in, and anything you write about your business. That is it. We do not collect payment information through this website.

How we use it

To reply to your inquiry and have a conversation about your project.
To prepare a proposal if you ask for one.

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. If you become a client, we may keep your contact details for the duration of our work together and for reasonable business records afterward.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data under Google’s own privacy terms. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site, never to identify you personally, and we do not use advertising cookies or sell any data. You can block analytics cookies in your browser and the site works exactly the same.

How long we keep it

Inquiry messages are kept as long as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email mat.steenwinkel@benchdigital.ca and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
